IIRC, Team Viewer uses an HTTP based VPN tunnel routed through their servers both ways. The traffic is leaving your LAN only to go out to the internet to come back in. Why expose yourself unless necessary?
Just use native RDP if possible. |

In the enterprise version the same number works over the internet, outside your LAN

You can share your desktop (select what you want people to see on your desktop) with multiple participants, video, voice only, and text chat, and it has a file drop box feature for exchanging documents. It can also work across multiple platforms. If you're dealing with a user or customer with limited tech skills, it's easier to launch a session than get them to set up to run several applications. |
