The screen goes black on the monitor and the power light turns yellow when it hibernates.

When I move the mouse or touch the keyboard to bring it out of hibernation the power light on the monitor will start slowly flashing green but nothing else happens.

I installed Ubuntu from a disk and used the wipe feature it had since I couldn't get DBAN to start on that machine. Could there be some leftover windows stuff causing problems?

This is my first real dive into any Linux use.
