My laptop, running Windows of course, seems to have picked up a virus. Pretty sure it came from Uzitalk.com
I keep getting the message that I am critically low on memory, and I can't do much due to the lack of free memory.
I also keep getting messages about updating the Windows security.
I have AVG on this laptop, and I was able to run a scan which didn't find anything.
I've done disk cleanup several times, it always seems to free up the same amount, and then I'll get the message
that I only have 3mb of space. Sometimes I can open up web sites, sometimes they only open as text.
Is there any way to fix this without losing everything on the computer?
Which version of Windows?
My AV has displayed a red flag warning about UZItalk and the possibility of infection.
Malwarebytes seems to be everyone's go-to program for eliminating bugs. It's found things on my system (minor, thankfully) that AVG didn't. Run it in safe mode.
Others, much more knowledgeable about computer bugs are sure to chime in soon.
