Here are pictures from the trip I took last week into the BWCA.
Camping was a great time as usual but the fishing sucked from all the weather changes.
At least it made for some good picture taking.

Morning fog was so thick all I could see was the island right next to us.  It was an amazing sight to see because the world ended at the shore and you couldn't tell water from sky.

Lifting fog.

Fishing for pike with smelt

One of the few fires we had since it was so wet.

I've got a few more to post later on.

Where at?  We use to go in at Burnside Lake and back into I think Cummings.

We are on the number lakes and stay at No. 4

Take the Fernberg road out of Winton all the way to the end and launch from there.

Absolutely awesome.

How bad are the insects?  Are they "pray for the swift sweet release of death" bad?

They aren't like that in May but from what I hear it can get like that during the summer.

Some nice shots all around but that first shot in the OP shows that you have very good "photographic instincts".  Nice capture.

Thank you.
Right now photography is one of my hobbies that I'm always striving to get better at.  Maybe it will start making me extra $ on the side some day.

At this time no.  I'm looking at selling prints of all my better shots I have collected.

How was the water level. Last time I was there was over 10 years ago, and all the lakes were down.
And yes the first shot is the best.
