I have that exact lens, it is my daily driver on my D850.
It's still a bit under 1K at B&H

I use it for about 80% of my stuff.

It is light, and versatile, covers just about every walking around need you can imagine.
That said, I own the trinity too, and the 28-300 does not touch them for speed or optical perfection.
I still love it though, because I can do it all, and not have to schlep a big bag that weighs a ton.
It is excellent for what it is, but just very good for what it is supposed to be, if you know what I mean.
