Work's been extremely busy for the last two years and I haven't had much time to get the camera out, but finally was able to do some shooting during a vacation to Italy.  Very rusty, but I was still happy with some of my shots.  Overall it was an awesome trip, took two weeks and felt like I didn't scratch the surface of any of the places we went.  Critique welcome!

Probably my favorite shot of the trip that I snapped during some rain in Florence.  Thought about a tighter crop but I like the scale:

Sphere within sphere- series of large bronze sculptures, one of which is in the Vatican.  Its pretty cool looking, and people can push it to rotate it.

The Florence pic is GREAT.
I kept your Vatican Maproom shot. I hope you don’t mind. I was just there two weeks ago and my potato pics really don’t do it justice.

The Florence shot is worth clicking the link to see it in full resolution, the Nikon 70-200 4.0 is crazy sharp.

And I hear you on the Vatican, it’s impossible to really capture the scale of that room.  I think that one was like 140 meters long?  I have a few other decent shots from there that I need to go back and edit.  Really wish I would have bought the 14-24 before going

OP, might I ask if you were shooting in raw or jpeg?
