Does it matter that my online profile doesn't have ANY achievements? How will it affect my online gameplay?


What happened to me:

Had box for 2 years, never online
created Profile_1, played & played

Recently decided I wanted to go online
went to xbox.com
checked Profile_1 availability; no go, as expected
created Profile_2

signed onto Profile_1, tried to join Live; name taken (duh)
changed Profile_1 name to Profile_2 on local system
tried to join Live; success!!!

but it created a second profile on my xbox, with no achievements  

I've looked to see if I can merge them, but they already have the same name and it seems impossible.

I believe xboxlive tech support can allow you to change your name on the one with the achievements for free

just email/call them and tell them you want to sign up for xbox live and your name is taken on your primary with all your achievements
