I picked up the dumbed down copy for the DS, surprisingly fun for what the DS can offer in terms of a flight sim.

Don't have a PS3 or 360 yet, so I'll have to wait.

But reviews have been positive to outright claiming it's the best WWII Sim on a console to date.

I plan on renting it, at least.  The demo arcade mode was a bit too, well arcadey.  I have a flight stick, and am looking forward to some good sim time on my 360.

I might have to find a copy for my DS and try it out....

The DS is very Arcadey, but it should be, considering the controls you have available to you on the DS.
Played a few missions just now, very well done little game.
Only wish it had Multiplayer.

BTW, check the scores so far from gaming sites, average is about 8.5/10 (for PS3/360 versions)

I gameflyed it.  It's ok.  Takes a bit to get used to the flight controls with the game pad.  Graphics are amazing and the game is fun when you get used to it.  I may end up buying it.  Still playing through it.  You can increase the flight controls and realism to be very challenging.

Played the demo last night. Loved it, and I've been playing IL-2 on PC for a few years. Yeah, it's not quite as realistic, but for a console it's pretty good. Now I need to get Saitek's new flight stick for the 360.

Funny, I've been watching/posting on the game's official forum and the criticism is either, it's not realistic sim-wise enough, or it's too challenging when in full sim mode.

lol.

I have yet to try it in "Full Simulation Mode." Well I did, but with the standard XBOX gamepad I lasted about 5 seconds.

I definitely plan to get one of these:

Should help make it more like my Thrustmaster HOTAS setup on my PC.

Y'all just need to take the leap and buy a flight simulator like I'm working on.

I bought that one as well to reup my interesting in both the PC sims and for Ace Combat and IL2 on the 360.  It's a good stick so far.
