I'm new at video games and my wife bought me a gamecube and the first resident evil which is great.  I understand that not all of the resident evil games that came after were that good.
Which ones should I get and which not  to bother with?

Yes, they are all good after that.

Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 4 are great games.

Honestly the only one you should bother with is 4.
RE4 is possibly one of the best games ever.

RE4 is the best.  I just sold mine on the EE though..you just missed it.
