I found this neat game online for only ten bucks.  It takes place during the 1970's-1980's timeframe in Europe with a hypothetical war between NATO and the Warsaw Pact.  It's pretty easy to play and I like seeing old air defense systems I saw and worked with, such as the Vulcan and Chaparral.  Even the old M42 Duster is in there.  It can be a bit of a clickfest but I'm having a lot of fun with it.  Here are a couple of screenshots I took
British Chieftain

Attack by early model East German Hind A's

There are a couple more games in the series I'd like to get, Wargame AirLand Battle and Wargame Red Dragon, which takes place in Asia in the early 1990's.

The online play goes down hill really fast as hackers start to ruin the game.  They need to make serious changes to the franchise if they want more than 30 people to be playing at a time.

I'm just sticking with the solo offline stuff.  I don't like playing online for the reason you said.  Too many hackers and cheaters, although I know it's designed to play online.  I'm still having a lot of fun with it playing the solo missions.

I thought World In Conflict was better.  Wargame has godlike AI that always knows where you are and 3-4 times more of everything then you ever will.  I had to throw in the towel on this one.

I just looked up World in Conflict.  Looks like they don't have a version for mac.  I know what you're saying about the enemy having 3-4 times more than everything you will.  I've been playing Ride of the Black Horse scenario.  I can destroy the first attack fairly easily but they seem to keep coming wave after wave.  It becomes a battle of attrition and eventually I've been getting worn down.
