I tried the demo and didn't like it. Shooting plasma rifles and lasers didn't quite turn me on.

I've downloaded the demo and it's nothing compared to the real thingj, I bought it later. It really depends on what kind of rig you're running to see if it is worth the purchase.

If you don't have over a ghz on a Pentium or AMD chip then don't get it. Make sure you have plenty of RAM and you have a good gfx card, probably Geforce 3 and up you will have fun. But on slower computers you can still play it and have fun but not enough fun to warrant a 50 dollar purchase.
