OK....I embellished my BF % tooooooooo low, but, it was single digits, long ago and faraway. Who here does not do the same in some form or another ? The 500lb ( slightly below parallel) squat was a goal I set and met though.[:D] ...Anyways... I have a pal who is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist =(CSCS) as well as a DrChiro. These CSCS cert. guys are qualified by the sheepskin to train athletes at the pro.sports level. His one primary advocacy is people MISTAKE HUNGER FOR THIRST! So for folks trying to loose weight, try drinking lots of water when you[red] _'feel'_ [/red] hungry, it'll fill you up and be re-hydrating you, as well as not containing ANY CALORIES. A trick I've heard of is a ""large"" glass/tank[;)] of water before and after every meal. I just thought I'd pass this along if you havent heard it already.......byebye!      [edited to add] ....  James, my friend, He's kinda a artsy fartsy PC type guy......I have no problem with that.  I can be artsy fartsy when it comes to certain things also other than gunz, but I think hes also..... Anti-ish, so I doubt he'd visit on a gunz board .

Hello!

Very good tip!  IIRC, C.S.C.S. is the certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association...one of the most well regarded programs (pretty much the standard for trainers of competitive athletes and teams at the college and pro level).  If your pal wants to lend some expertise here, send him over!

Or have to sit through long meetings!

I've tried drinking water before eating to see if I feel fuller while eating, and it's never worked for me.  The only thing I've found that helps is to eat slowly.  For example, I'm eating lunch while reading through the posts here and replying.  That slows me down, so I feel more full when I finish.z

Oh man....where I work our group has a staff meeting every Tuesday morning. A few months ago, during one of those meetings, I had to go....bad. Of course, this was 10 minutes into our manager, who went on for another 40. This was almost as bad as the time I walked into Dances With Wolves with a super-sized Cherry Coke! I'm ready to flood, and he turns the meeting over to a senior group member. I know he's not talking about something concerning me, so the moment my boss says he's turning it over, I stand up and bolt for the bathroom. Not five steps out of the room and the entire group was laughing their asses off. Said member can be pretty long winded, and they thought I just didn't want to stick around for it....

I've had mixed success. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. I usually just try and take a big chug if I feel 'hungry'. If it comes back, I chug again. The third time I grab for something to eat....
