Ive been eating right, running and doing the tough mudder bootcamp workouts. Back in the last week of Febuary I watched my first mudder video and wished I was able to do one, but at 305 pounds I knew there wasnt any way I could even hope to do one. I made a promise to myself that if I could loose 100lbs that I would give it a shot so, I started working out after a trip to the doctor on March 1st and havent looked back since. Like I said when I started I was 305lbs, couldnt run a lap(1/4) around the track, could do a few pushups, no pull ups and couldnt make a one minute rep without thinking I was going to die.

Ive come along way since then and even though Im going to keep at it till I hit 180.  Im pretty proud of myself and was ready to share. Im down 97lbs, went from a 42x30 jean to a 33x30 and from a XXXL shirt to a L/XL shirt. I can do a whole mudder workout with just a few stops, Im up to 8 pull ups and running 3-5 days a week. This whole thing has turned into a lifestyle change and Ive swore to myself Ill never go back. My son and myself even ran our first 5K this week and Im signed up for Mo Tough Mudder in Oct...

And After

Not a big update, but Ive passed my goal of 100lbs and am slowly chipping away at my goal of 180lbs. Last week I hit 196 lbs and am down to a 32x30 jean and a large shirt. I was really thinking I might hit 185 before the tough mudder, but its just not going to happen it 8 days. My exercises and run tme have improved to the point Ive stopped being nervous about the TM and am really looking forward to the challange..

Feels Great!! Today when I went to get Jeans I was thinking I would be getting 36X30 and when I found out I was down to 33'S I was ecstatic.

Not only have you given your son more time with his dad, but now he knows what real self-discipline looks like and that you walk the walk.

Well done, sir.

Damn son!  Well done.

Be careful about becoming too fixated on what the scale reads.  There can be danger in that.

Just be healthy.

This goes out to all the people that say "I can't" when breaking any addiction. It's absolutely all in your head.
