I am building an 8" 9mm PCC AR. Will a muzzle brake help with 9mm PCC? Does it do anything?

Most of the felt recoil comes from the mass of the 9mm's heavier BCG and buffer.
Assuming we are talking about an AR?

There is a reason the guys winning PCC divisions at major matches are using comps.  It's physics.

It will never have the same relative effect as a comp on an open gun but at least it is directing what little gas there is in a desirable direction.

Good point. I was stuck on 3 gun .223 LTD. USPSA open is a better way to think.

The Taccom brake is a good choice.
