Now that these are in box stores at "box store" pricing I will consider one.

$399.00

Reasonable price, I will order a Rem TAC 14 before xmas.

You won't regret it.. I paid a bit more then 399, and it was still well worth it.. it's the most fun gun I've had in a long time.. I was actually able to have a friend toss beer cans, walnuts, apples, what ever up in the sky and I was able blast it out of the sky no problem..

Did you use the bead sight?
Instinctive shooting?
Did you merely rack the slide and cause the aerial targets to shatter in fear?

I replaced my beed sight with some night sights but yes I used the sights.. get the highest front sight u can.. she always shoots high.. so either hold low or increase the height of your sight.. targets were tossed at about 20-30 yards away and I was using 7-8 and buck shot.. once you learn how to hold low it's pure fun.. we're taking lawn darts, m80s in the toliet bowl standing up in the back of your parnets station wagon mooning the people behind you on a road trip fun...

Not fond of the "big-box" stores per 'se,
I'm glad to see these in mainstream distribution channels in NYS.

Just in case you're not being sarcastic, the direct answer is no, you can't have a 14" pistol grip pump. You CAN however have a 14" pump with a raptor grip which is a significantly different and elongated grip compared to a pistol grip, that helps achieve the necessary 26" minimum length.

Seriously? Do they try to make you put it on your pistol permit? I'm a little braver with "I bought it at Dick's" than "I bought it from Armadillo House of Guns in Tuscon and had my kitchen table FFL Shifty McDeadwhoreinthetrunk bring it in"

Hey now, Shifty has never steered me wrong, once you get over the constant nose rubbing and the scratch marks on the mirrors he's a great guy to deal with.

Same here, didn't ask if it had to go on a permit.
I'm a little suspect of certain stores... one that closed years ago, sold post ban mags as pre to unsuspecting purchasers.

So, just cause it's for sale don't mean it's legal in your municipality either.

Yeah, that Dicks is selling these emboldens me.

NY SAFE legal? No pistol permit required? Wow, no one better tell Prince Andy!

I handled one two weeks ago at Collectors Arms in Hopewell, they also had the Remington.
I'm on the fence between the two.

One of my local shops has one for sale. IIRC they only want $599 for it.

In 6 months when they start showing up on the equipment exchange for $250 I'll grab one.

Mr. Stack went on to say Dicks Sporting Goods will implement a price match guarantee, though the exact details are unknown.

If it is like the price match guarantee that (failed and bankrupt) Gander Mountain had it is basically worthless.  You had to show a print ad from a local seller selling the exact same item for less.  Internet screen shots were not accepted.  Total bull excrement.

I dont how ny dicks will handle it, but in jacksonville nc they have an academy less than a 1/4 mile from them not including about 12 gun shops within 5 miles.. people have shown the price gaps between the different places and gave them it..

All the big box stores are hurting Academy, dicks, etc... the demo-craps gutted the economy with clown care.

Are they really that much shorter than a pistol grip mossberg? My folding stock troy is pretty short
View Quote
My local gun store had a couple in the back that they were holding on to, they brought one out for me and held it up against a regular pistol grip shotgun - the overall length difference is only about 2 inches because the bird beak grip is kind of long to make overall legal length.
