Thanks guys, I'm pretty pyched.  I'm starting off in customer service and the custom shop, mainly talking to people about firearms all day(they pay people to do that?).
I start Tuesday morning and will have to study 1911s and become well versed in them.   That way, when you guys call me up to complain about a scratch on the inside of your slide after you shot it, I can tell you that it is a metal part that rubs against other metal parts, lol.

I have a feeling that I won't be able to give guided tours for awhile and won't be able to set up any group buys, but I will do my best to try as soon as I have time in.

Now to find some field stripping diagrams and get ready for work.

I'd be in for a Kimber Group Buy .

I don't have a Kimber yet, but I'll call up to Customer Service and pretend that I do so that you have plenty of practice .

Great! I've been thinking of sending a compact in for some front strap checkering and a couple other little items soon. Will you be the contact guy?

Thanks again everyone.  I plan on keeping my mouth shut about any kind of anything from Kimber for at least 6 months, lol.

I will admit that when I found out I got the job I felt very skeptical about the whole thing.  For months or years, for me it seemed like, as Cream put it, "if it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all".  Hopefully that's all changing, I have a very positive feeling about this and it is waymore interesting then my last job, cosmetic packaging.

Helldog, thanks for the offer, I will definitely take you up it, I will "mistakenly" lock my keys in my car so Mag162 can drive up to Yonkers and break into it  for me.

Again, thanks everyone.

Work sucks.  I'm getting a blister on my thumb from racking the slides inspecting all the shipped in pistols.  The Warrior is a pretty nice 1911.  The TLE/RLs are really nice too.
I really have alot to learn though, but I should pick it up pretty quickly, probably a week or two away from dealing with the public though.

Anyway, I'm friggin beat, need to ice my thumb.

Oh, what a hardship!  Feel free to ship some of those 1911s to me for "inspection" .

Well, that positive feeling I had was not really that positive.  Actually it was a kidney stone, lol.  I started having a pain in my side Friday morning at work and had to leave at 10.  By the time I got back home I had stopped twice in the Bronx to vomit and screamed at the top of my lungs the entire way.  I actually had to call an ambulance to drive me to the hospital.  At least I didn't leave work due to gas pains.  Hopefully that was the only shoe to drop here.  I can't fuckin believe it.

Respectfully vicodined,
Phobia
