If its 15 in all of NY im breaking the law...

I do not believe there is a limit in NY for pistols or Rifles....

As far as I know, you can slap a beta C into a AR pistol.....

Except for having no "sunset" provision,
NY law copies the Federal Assault weapon law.

"preban" high cap mags (any capacity) are
legal to possess and use in ANY firearm.

Pistol/Rifle NYS* - Not limited

Pistol NYC - 17 rounds

Rifle NYC - 5 rounds for a semi-auto, All SAW's are banned in addition to some semi-auto pistols which are classified as assault weapons.

* The Cities of Albany and Rochester have their own restrictions.

NJ is 15 rounds for either a rifle or handgun. YOu can block a highercapacity magazine to 15 rounds, It can be either temporary or permanent.
