Was one of my Da's favorites when he worked in Waxahachie. Depending on how tall you are & who brings a Prius, we might park VICs in Waxahachie, and save gas to Waco & back. Besides, we need hostages. Anyone have an opinion on Raider14's Waco suggestions? |

For seafood it's a tossup for me between Tejun and Friday's, both are excellent (that being said I'm a Cajun and fried fish kinda guy). There is a ton of new stuff downtown tho and plenty of food trucks but it'll be busy with all the Magnolia crowd Oh and Waco Drive pro tip: depending on where y'all get dinner of course but it you end up taking Waco Drive back north towards I35 to head home just be sure to take the turn for Business 77/New Dallas Highway before the overpass and follow it all the way north, you'll eventually pop out just south of Elm Mott next to that big Road Ranger and you'll avoid all the really congested intersections. For those who haven't taken an I35 expedition through Waco in the last few years the construction has really screwed up anything that passes under it from loop 340 down to Valley Mills Dr. ETA: honestly with weekend + holiday traffic I'd actually do the reverse of that and just dodge the construction all together, that's how I'll make my way to the show provided nothing comes up View Quote George's it is: https://georgesrestaurant.com/georges/ 1925 Speight • Waco TX |

Jeffb1911 and I will be at breakfast @ 0800 in Glen Rose, then to the Glen Rose show. We'll meet everyone at 11:30 at The Dove's Nest, then go to the Waxahachie show at 12:30. Should make the Waco show around 3:30, and we'll get to George's (the northern one) around 5:15, depending on traffic. I'm tracking 3 possibles @ the moment.

Show AAR:
Glen Rose is 1/7th the size of the largish medium sized Waxahachie show. Completely untied guns were lying on vendors' tables. Not every table, but concerning. Park in the front lot, mind the horseshit. Entrance is through the commercial looking entrance, their signage is not the best. Waxahachie - one of the largest medium shows you'll find in D/FW, everything well tied. ATF had a booth, w/ 2 helpful agents from the Dallas office. Usual suspects at a Premier show. Waco - largish small show, scattered across three rooms, two of which are downstairs. Large signs at the entrance announce the downstairs, but if you're fixated on getting your guns tied, you can miss it. Good variety of ammo & guns. Park in the north parking lot. |

Just as a reminder to folks, the very latest information that I have in this thread will generally be posted in the OP. Particularly schedules updating during the day - the latest changes will be reflected in the OP.
If you're looking for an address to a particular show, note the promoter to the right of the town, then scroll down in the OP to the promoter's list - for 87% of promoters, there's a link to their website, and hopefully they've posted the address, or some other form of contact info. Some of these outfits don't do web pages very well, so it may take a minute or two to find an address or phone #, particularly if you're working from your phone. Anyone up for dinner in Waco again on Friday following the antique show? Or up for lunch Saturday somewhere on 199? |

Best thing I saw at the show was the young guy who snatched up a Glock magazine that has a bright chrome floorplate and immediately inserted it into his pistol like some kind of key improvement. They used to do their annual convention at the rodeo. Then they moved base of operations down to Austin and now officing in Pflugerville I think. And the annuals have been moved around between Austin and Waco Georgetown for the last 4 or 5 years. You think they would host a gun show somewhere in Austin Waco Georgetown under their Banner. But they seem to have enough trouble doing what they are doing.
