Updated OP.  You know the promoter?  Supposed promoter's Facebook doesn't refer to the gun show and their web page referenced on the Facebook page doesn't exist.

No, don't think it's Allen Bowles.  This is the Facebook page of the folks that the gun show page says they're sponsoring it:  https://www.facebook.com/bigmuleguns

Big Mule Guns does have the show listed as an event, so there is some reciprocity.

ETA:  The Love Civic Center doesn't have it listed on their website or their Facebook page.

The further the show is out of town, and the smaller the promoter, the less likely their postings on the web will be correct if they've bothered to update at all.  I've driven to Denton for a small show before and it had been cancelled w/ no update to the online web page.

Anyone up for lunch in Burleson?  Trying to plan my day, thinking I'd start out in Burleson, finish in Mesquite, & grab dinner @ Soulman's.  RebleYell isn't coming down so we don't need to plan around him.

Thoughts?

I may or may not be looking to score a jig for 80% glocks and AR's.  Anyone recommend a vendor at one of these local-ish shows?

Not sure if you know that the glock jigs usually come with or are sold with the particular 80% frame?  P80 frames come with the jig.

This thread has all the info you need to make a glock that is more perfect than an actual Glock:  https://www.ar15.com/forums/General/Polymer80-So-easy-a-caveman-could-do-it-/5-2075494/?page=1

Burleson is a decent small show, $7 to get in.  Best parking in the back.

Mesquite Big Town is as usual.  Ammo prices seem to have stabilized around $.70-85/rnd.

Thanks, that one is saved.

Supposedly the ATF is contacting and confiscating those who bought the P80 kits.  There's a thread on it in GD.
IF I get one, I'd rather not donate it to the ATF.... that is, IF I decided to get one, which I haven't... and I don't have one...

Hence, my question about vendors.

There's a vendor w/ the P80 frames & jigs towards the back right of the show as you come in.  Sounds like ATF right now is going after kits that have the 80% lower, the jig, bits, and all the other parts needed to build the complete pistol, including slide, bbl, and all other internal parts.

He has buy build shoot kits only.
But he is splitting them up so it’s not a full kit.
Pay cash if you buy one.
I did not mr atf man.
Lots of insane prices there today.

Plenty of $1 per round 9mm and 556.

Magazines are still normal price ish.

He might be hosting it, but it's still not on the venue's website or Facebook page, and the event page on Facebook says it's sponsored by Big Mule Guns.  AllTexGunShows.com doesn't list a show, nor does his link at Gun Shows USA.

4 days?  Thank God it's not a leap year.

$195 a table, up against Premier's largest show?  With practically no one attending Friday?  I'm delighted they're coming to town, but I remember the last time a California outfit had a gun show here.  They didn't last long.  Premier is stiff competition.

Thanks Gopher.

With this, they may be going after a different crowd. Looks like it might appeal to some of my Cowboy Action shooting friends than the usual ARFCOM suspect.

It was busy today. The usual $700+ 1911's, $800-1200 AR's, a few pistols and scopes, and a good supply of FUD type rifles. There was an unusual amount of ammo. Most centerfire pistol rounds were $30-50 a box. Several dealers had a good supply of .380. I did see 5.56, 100 rounds for $160.  I don't recall seeing much .22.  There was a lady just to the right of the entrance selling metal ammo cans at a fair price.

The weather up this way may be iffy in the morning with one to three inches of snow predicted. Again, unless you are local, this one might not be worth the effort.

Got set up late today at the Mesquite show. Looks like it's another sold out show. I think it will be a very good show.

Line is wrapped around all 4 sides of the building, more than 270 degrees.

ETA:  one gal said it went 360 degrees, but only 30 min.

I got there at ten and looked for a parking spot for about 5 mins before I went to look behind the building.

Line almost was at 360 degrees.
I went home.

Yeah...  lines are for other people.  Between that and the inflated prices people keep describing, I'll keep saving my money.

We drove by around 11 and the line was a good 270 degrees around the building so we made a trip out to scheels instead.

By all reports, the line moves rather quickly, albeit it was 34 degrees outside this morning.  I'll try to get a sample of line times from punters tomorrow & post up as the day goes, but by 11:00 y'all should be good - after the 10:00 am rush, before the church-goers show up.
