I have finally bought myself a M3A1 grease gun. Now I'm looking for 45ACP ammo for it. I have found 45ACP Wolf in bulk at 13.5 cents per round and I can not even get within 6 cents of that for American made ammo. My question, have any of you used this ammo and is it any good? The steel cases kind of appeals to me from a spent case clean up perspective since I can use my link magnet. (assuming I ever get mine back from SC

This ammo blew up the Gunny's Thompson (yes a transferable one) and blew the front sight off my 1919 manufactured Colt 1911 (this was one that was reworked for WWII). I would say stay away from it. It has already destroyed two WWII guns.

I run it in my P14-45 2500 round worth and no problems. 5.56 out of my bushy (almost 5000 rounds) with 4 or 5 bad primers. It hits it mark 97% of the time...
I have seen PMC BLOW a Glock and some S&B f up a AR. With any Ammo Keep your gun clean and if the round is fup looking kick it to the side...  And try not melt the bl. |

Both of these guns were quite clean. I use Wolf 223 and 7.62 x 39, but I will never use it for a 45 again.

No problems here, pistols, a Marlin camp carbine and an old Commando carbine.

just completed 4 day defensive handgun 800+rounds 2 FTF traced to same mag, rest good to go
shot distinguished graduate with wolf and Glock 30. YMMV |

I shot 50 rds of it out of my Glock 30 and had problems cycling through the whole box. I have ran a couple of hundred rds of Winchester white box through it with no problems. I wouldn't use it again.

I broke the extractor in a '70 series Combat comm. with the 1st. box of wolf i had in any caliber. Finished it off in my Mod. 21 when i still had that, but it put a bad taste in my mouth for steelcase ammo on general.YMMV.........

My M-10s and M-11 live on a steady diet of Wolf .45 and 9mm with the occasioanl boxes of winchster whitebox.
In fact, I cannot remember ever shooting anything other than Wolf .45 in my M-10s |

What's the best price you have found on 45ACP Wolf? The cheapest I can find is 139.95 for 1000 rnds. |

I generally buy frfom Ammo-to-go in Brenham. I think its around 150 delivered. |

Well I have not gotten it yet but there is an ad in SG from the ammunitionstore at that price but it does not include shipping. If your picking it up in Brenham for that then maybe I'll get you to pick me a few cases next time you go. |

Me too! 3k+ rounds and they all went bang, just like they're supposed to. I have not reloaded .45ACP since Wolf has been available. |
