stopped by wally today and the guy back in sporting goods told me they would stop selling firearms soon. he did not know when. something along the line of not selling enough. he said other local wallys will sell guns. keep your eye out, they may have a sale soon. right now a ruger 10/22 goes for 175.00. i think academy has them for 165.00

The cesspool WalMart at Midway and 635, just inside Farmers Branch is going to stop selling them as well.

I heard the one at MacArthur and 635, in Irving, is going to stop as well.

The Wal-Mart at Frankford and Marsh in Carrollton stopped selling guns last I saw, but the one off of 190 and Trinity Mills still sells them.

Not a big deal to me. The only thing I get at Wal-Mart is .22's. Even if they stopped selling that, I'd just go to Academy or Sportsmans Warehouse instead.

Crap! I live less than 10 minutes from that store. One of the old managers there used to have a full auto MP5.

Bros--this just come over the wire on the Real Estate Center News On Line (RECON) at Texas A&M Realty Center, that Wally World's "newest"  Premium Super Store in Plano (203,000 sq ft) will NOT HAVE ANY GUNS! Their strategy is "high end" items for "high end" people.

Shape of things to come? Dunno.

Shoot! I always consider yours truly "low end" merchandise, cuz I loves:

My Guns
My Country and
My God!

Sports Authority in Round Rock also stopped selling; manager sez it was due to lack of sales. I guess, Sportsman Warehouse is less that a mile away.

Yes, that is true. But the correct solution is not to stop selling guns, but to start selling High-end guns like the Beretta Gallery does in Highland Park. I myself do not buy guns from Wal-Mart; the selection is awful and the models are low-end.

meh..  the only time I buy anything gun related at Walmart is if I'm up in the middle of the night and feel a need to buy plinking ammo.

Academy is cheaper and cleaner.
