I was here about two weeks ago asking after a good gunsmtih to help me install a LaRue Tactical quad rail. Our fellow Texan, FALARAK, volunteered to help me out. I went over to his house last night and he did more than hook me up. He taught me quite a bit about the AR15 (and I thought I knew a thing or two), but he also let me do the actual work of the installation. Instead of just installing the handguard himslef, he let me use his tools and gave me direction so I was able to install the rail myself. Note that before last night, I was a complete stranger to him, but he opened up his home to a fellow member out of the goodness of his heart. We are lucky to have him and maybe we can all learn something from his example.
While I did provide some of my favorite malt beverages, he would not accept any form of payment except a thank you. So here is another thank you and the offer of a cold beer, anytime, anyplace.
