I may be forced to use my 9mm conversion on my 650 now

wow, it even went up in your area too...

really bites cus I needed ammo about a month ago and put it off (I was going to buy several cases), then 2 weeks ago I went to buy some and they had raised the prices the previous Wednesday, about $1/box across the board! I left and bought elsewhere.

They are still cheaper than WalMart on some ammo, but not enough to justify the trip since WalMarts are everywhere...

Guess my Glock wont be seeing that rip off blazer any longer...

Give me a break, what justifies that increase in price when its been 3.86 for as long as I can remember ??

I was told it was a "loss leader", got you in the door, and they counted on you buying more than ammo?? Who knows for sure, but i will miss it.

Cleaner than what? Winchester USA ammo? CCI seems to be dirtier...

I agree, that cheap ammo allways makes my guns much more dirty.

What kind of gun did you have that got "misfires" with Blazer, and what were the exact types of failures? I am curious.

I have gone through over 10,000 rounds of the stuff, and the ONLY failure I ever got, is when I would stagger a WWB, then Blazer, then WWB, etc. I stopped mixing them all in my ammo cans after that happened.

Seriously, I shoot aluminum blazer in a BHP, 92FS, 92F, G19, G17, G34, P226, and it has been the most reliable low cost practice ammunition I have ever seen. I will miss it!

At $4.86 a box, I will probaly still buy it. That is cheaper than WWB, and more reliable in my experience.

Inflation?

Surely you jest, as it would be better to just buy it at $3.86 over the counter.

Last night I visited the Academy here in Lufkin to inquire about a Remington 870.

The gun salesman griped that everything in the store had gone up 10% in the last week except their wages.

I asked about AR mags. He said the tax refund crowd had cleaned them out. (20-rounders for $18).

I fear this is just a taste of the inflation to come.

$4.86 isn't too bad anyway. At least they have a steady supply of Barnaul Blue Box 7.62x39.
