If a company is going out of business, I wonder about the wisdom of buying their product. Collectors abound, I am sure, but the inability to get parts has to be a concern.

It is nearly impossible to get parts for some Winchester rifles for 2 decades now. US Repeating Arms, which licenses the Winchester Brand Name, does not make them, in fact, they do not even make parts for their reproduction rifles a few years after they stop making the reproduction. Of course, if you bought a genuine Winchester such as a 70 or 88, you will have no problem finding someone who can get/make the parts, but the reproduction guns, are SOL right now.

I don't think there is anything on a model 70 that does not have aftermarket parts available. Don't know about anything else they made, do they even make anything else...?
