ok i was bored and thumbing through one of those in-flight magazines on southwest airlines and saw an ad from a company that makes lapel pins.

so i was thinking, since every ARFCOM hometown has their own t-shirts, what do you think about making a lapel pin for ARFCOM Texas?

it could be in the shape of the state, with an AR15 pictured inside with "ARFCOM" or "AR15.com" or something.  i wouldnt want to infringe upon any trademarks or anything and piss anyone off.

but if it's feasable to make, i could order say 100 or 200, and either sell them online or at gun shows or whatever.  i wouldn't make a whole lotta profit, maybe like $1 a pin or something, but i think that is fair for someone who'd want to take on the task of doing it.  $100-200 profit for all the work and investment i think is fair.  nobody is price gouging at $1 profit!

but tell me what you think.  is it something you'd want?  it would look tasteful and something you could wear on your lapel if you are in a suit, or something you could put on your boonie hat, backpack, bug-out bag, etc.

also its a discreet way to signal you are an ARFcommer to anyone else on the board who may not know what you look like.  heck you could be at a business conference or at the range or whatever, and you recognize the pin, so you introduce yourself.

i think it's sometimes more appropriate to be subtle, especially when your day job doesn't approve of you wearing shirts depicting EBR's, or maybe they require a certain dress (collared shirts, suits, shirts & ties, etc).

or....if you can't wear the same ARFCOM shirt every day of the week you can at least sport the pin on a clean shirt!!

let me know what you guys think.

I'd buy one and add it to my collection of 500+ lapel pins.

Sounds like a good idea, but I don't wear pins.

I used to wear an AR15.com watch.

The idea of hometown pins is good.

You need approval from site owners to put the words AR15.COM or ARFCOM on a pin, patch, sticker, coin, or any other item for distribution.
