I dont want you to do a special PITA run at your cost.... you should charge whatever you consider a fair profit.

This will likely be a small group show up - so I wouldn't get my hopes up for a large run, thats for sure.

That being said... IF you decide to make them and IF they cost $15 or less, I will buy two.

is this an rsvp event, or can I just show up? never been to your range, but it looks like a great place.  What's the normal policy if I wanna shoot someone else's toy? should I bring some extra ammo to run thru their gun, or what? My new toy is a Ruger PC4 with a holosight. I'd like to shoot a 40 S&W (or .45) carbine to compare it to, so I can see if I really want to get an SBR in that flavor.

You say... "Hey man - can I shoot dat?"  It is customary to offer to supply the ammo, or offer your weapon in trade.  I havent ever been turned down.

I think TJ <range owner> is looking for a head count, so if you just post in this thread that you are in. I am sure he will put you down.

Does anyone know how far it is from Humble Texas to this shoot?

Are NFA weapons allowed? Types of NFA allowed? Tracers? What kind of range is it? (Length?), what kind of targets?

Is it open invite or invintations only?

Thanks

Tiger Valley is about 17 miles north east of Waco.  It has 9 pistol bays, one up to 140 yards, several with steel targets(pistol or pistol caliber rifles only).  It also has a 1000 yard Palma range.

All safe shooters are welcome.  NFA weapons are allowed, please have a copy of the paperwork for the weapon with you.  Tracers may not be a good idea because of the lack of rain in the last few months.

Hookers and blow? That would be a mistake. But go ahead. Most of the SWAT and D.E.A. guys will be tired of shooting by the 17th. Sidematches anybody? Longrange... helo assault... pistol pepper popper?

A good Bolt gun or M1A should round things out nicely for you.

A lot of things about RedGoat are lacking.  Just don't let him stand behind you when you're on the firing line.

In all seriousness, I just attended my first  ARFCOM event last weekend.  It was darn near the most fun I've ever had, and I've never met a nicer bunch of guys (and gals).

Redgoats is just funning with you. I'm sure you can bring most anything legal with the exception of
tracers. TJ is a great guy, but I don't think he'd appreciate getting his placed torched. It's been very
dry lately.

I don't know all the details, but I'm sure things will be structured to some degree to ensure a fun and
safe time for everyone there. Hopefully TJ will post more details as we move closer to the date.

You may want to bring a spare pair of underwear. Last time I was there a flash-bang (yes, a real one)
went off behind a group of us and I believe several grown men wet themselves on the spot.

Here is some idea of the amenities:

Moving and shooting steel targets in the tac bays:

NFA fun:

Pistol shooting steel knockdown targets:

*safe* bump firing

1000 yd KD range with pits, berms at 200, 300, 500, etc....

This doesnt even go into the shoot house, vehicle stages, pepper poppers, obstacles, crawl house, etc....  but this event will probably be low key.

In the past, the most use is pistols (and pistol caliber cabines) on all the steel knockdown targets in the first tac bay, and then shooting on the KD range, starting at 200yds and working your way back.  Most people own a rifle that will go back to 500 yds.

Is it December YET!!!!!!!! What a great excuse to get everything in my collection in need of cleaning.

My collection of firearms has to be very mondane compared to what are in those pics...very nice.

Another pair of undies? Flash-bang surprise?  Interesting....

God, that looks like Heaven.

Next time I'm anywhere remotely near the Waco area (doesn't happen often), I'll have to get out there.
