RedGoat, I agree 100%!! Look up the meaning of my handle. Quercus MICHAUXII. Botanical /Latin designation fot the Swamp Chestnut Oak tree. We have the state champion on our farm. Biggest acorns of any oak. Up to golf ball size.....
I plan on visiting K-2 in Richardson. Does he work on benchrest rifles? O/U shotguns? Is he a 1911 specialist? Is he a master at stock work? If he does ALL these things, then you are correct. I really need to visit him. However, if he does not specialize in all these disciplines, maybe I need to keep asking for other 'smiths in East Dallas, Garland or Mesquite. Thanks for your input... |

Just got off the phone wife Lew Tippie's wife, Jeanine. Were discussing a target barrel that Lew built for me. And what bipod and adaptor.
Anyhow, she mentioned John at K-2. Said she met him and his wife at Gunstock and mighty impressed. Seems to be the consensus. Guess I need to meet this guy! |

he put a trigger in my AR, did some long gun work on my 700, mouted a light on my custom kimber, and know many people he does shotgun work for. Fully squared away! c sends |
