No, I haven't. I assume (maybe incorrectly) that when I register, I will have to pay, which I can not afford at this moment. I plan to soon though.

Since ya'll decided to hold Gunstock during "family camp out" weekend I will not be able to attend. (I'm sure your all crushed.)  Maybe next year, or another event.  And yes I've already tried to get the family camp out location changed to Waco.  It didn't go over well.

Geez. I sent an e-mail regarding this to volunteers. I know you got it cause you responded to it.

Right on with that... I haven't registered yet as I will be volunteering as a range safety officer.

LT, if you'd like, send an email to Maddog50.  He's an NRA certified instructor and would be good to have as an SO.

From the descriptions, etc, it seems like it will be a pretty boring event.

I never said I was going to go.  I get bored spraying lead around.  I like shooting at reactive targets, etc, but it is pretty boring otherwise.
Plus, if there are a lot of people (whom we do not really know) it will be a lot of waiting in lines, etc to do any shooting.

I also think that if I went, you guys would want me/pressure me to volunteer, and I will not, especially if I have to pay.

PS: I would probably bring Snugz if I did go....

Nice.

I'm registered, but I have a question regarding hotels.  How long on Sunday will range time, and then cleanup take?  I'm trying to decide if I should pay for a Sunday night hotel stay or not.  Any other volunteers have ideas?

On a side note, LT sent out emails saying that any people that volunteered services (before the event anyway, like RO, drivers, etc.) would be comped admission.  Some people are paying anyway, to help support the shoot, and hopefully to help it happen again in subsequent years.

Paying is not the issue.  Paying AND "volunteering" is an issue.

Really?????  Wow.  I did not know this.  I could have sworn they kept DODGING this issue.

There won't be a lot of people--just DFW crew and some other people.

No, you decide what you want to do.  The main thing is enjoying yourself.

Sure, while you're at it, bring your GF and her/your female friends also.

I just registered Billy and myself.

Looks like I'm the first non-Texican on this post to admit such but then I don't count since I lived there for over 10 years and will see it as visiting home.

Look forward to finally hooking you with you all.

I plan on attending.  Maybe with my 10 year old son.  But I wasn't going to register for another couple of months.

I figure there may be special events, at an additional cost, that I'll be interested in and I may as well register/pay once instead of twice/thrice.

So after there is some content on the website,  I'll register.  Is this a burden or a problem?

yeah thought about that but seeing as how I've already got the request in for leave it wouldn't look great to call in sick for those days and I used a lot of sick days earlier in the year when we had our baby
I work Fri-Tues right now so basicly my work week coincides with the festivities
sucks working weekends but better than no job
