Where are there any 200-500 yard ranges in the North Texas area. I'm in Plano. I was told once that there is on out near Greenville (Cumby, TX, I think), but have never been there. Thanks...

Dave.

Gibsons Outpost in Mesquite on Lawson Rd has a 200yd range. The heavy rains we had a few months ago played hell with it and I don't know if it is back in operation yet. Call just to make sure. You may give Winchester Public Shooting Range on Luna Rd a call. They used to have ranges out to 300yds. TacPro Shooting Center in Mingus, Texas has a 1000yd range and you have to shoot their 1000yd. qualifier before shooting 1000yds though. Can't think of any others right off hand. By the way Gibsons is fmj and black rifle friendly.

I second tac pro. best range i've ever been to. they have a 100 next to a 200. then over by the pistol they have shooting stations every 100 out to 1000. the guy that owns it is super ultra nice(as is his wife) questions? just ask. he doesnt mind rapid fire, FMJ, .50 cal. just dont shoot the pistol steels with a rifle(someone did last summer, ruined it). like LT said, its a bit of a drive, but in my opinion, well worth it.

LT gave you bum scoop on the url. mine works
