Hello all,
I was directed to hometown forum to get some information about visiting you guys at the Hun Farm. I was seeing if anybody in the DFW area was interested in a shoot and they said you guys were shooting quite regularly. I live north of Fort Worth & would love to unload the safe for a weekend....

Sincerely

Brent Prosise

We will be going to the farm again on the July 4th weekend.
Try and make it up. You will have a great time.

Prosis. Check this Tx forum regularly to get activities of DFW crew, either group shoots, Hun
farm shoots, or gunshow/lunch get-together.
There are some DFW crew living in FW, and I'm one of them.

I'm fairly new, mostly a lurker and don't post often but some of the guys at work and I would like to join in if newcomers are OK. Would need directions on how to get to the farm though. I have no idea where it is. Also what to bring - food etc?

Some may live in FW, but the cool ones don't!!!

TXL

Definately make it to the farm sometime.

Mike_48. All are welcome to DFW crew. As far as the Hun farm is concerned, there's a shoot on July 4 weekend. You and friends can IM or e-mail the Hun for direction.
Always check out this TX forum for area activities.

Snipe hunting. Oh, that would definitely break the ice.
All the newbies likes it, even some oldies.

Aren't we planning on going shooting this coming weekend? Here's the post over in GD talking about it:

www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=187689&w=searchPop

I *REALLY* hope that we are, since this will be my last weekend before getting married the weekend after that. (Remember, you're all invited)

It looks like I won't be able to make the July, 4th shoot, as the fiance probably won't be able to get off work.

So do you guys go out for the day, or camp at the ranch & come back on sunday? I could use a link to directions & I saw a map on a thread but I had trouble saving the jpg so i could look at it. Just let me know... Are you guys going up before july 4th. Would like to check it out....

Yeah he did......but at least he got a ride out to where we were hearding the Snipes in his direction.

The best part was watching The Huns flying dismount out of the back of my truck. His triple sumersault with a blind dismount without spilling his Windex cooler was a thing of beauty.

They camp at the farm. Like ETH said though, bring all of the stuff that you need to live in the wilderness. There's a cabin, but no electricity, etc. I, too, would like to know if we're going to the farm before July 4th, or in my case, June 14th

Prosise seems like a nice enough fellow. I think y'all should skip the "initiation" for him at the farm.

Unless you are Rainman. Then its d.d.d.definitely. Must be that homeschooling. Or the high-altitude flying without ox. Or Senioritis.

BTT, I might even show up.

No need to initiate me,

We goto a ranch in Blanket tx to let the lead fly about once a year. This friends Ranch is the perfect shooting spot. Anyway, My cousin was there & we told his son that there were snipe in the area and it was perfect time of year to hunt for 'em. We told him to go get a long stick, and so on. When it was all said & done we had him prepped. I got a piece of cardboard & made a sign for the prestigous event. He had a long stick with a stinger 22lr box tied to the stick with fishing line, inside the box was a grasshopper for bait. We didnt have a good bag so we used a wal-mart plastic bag. And the usual Flashlight...
By the way, the second picture (FINGER) was an accident.... But you can only imagine how lucky my cousin is to have a picture of his first snipe hunting trip....

Funny thing is, this year he was scared of the dark....
