Stand by gents. Working out a new deal for print on demand so that I don't have stacks of boxes of books filling up my home. Should be working this week, so that you can order direct from publisher and they send it to you and just cut us a check.

Update 17 September 2021: Those who have ordered and paid for books prior to this post have had their books shipped. The Pioneer Task Book is now available via Amazon, both in PDF and print formats. While we will have some task books available at regional and national events in the future, it is preferable that you order via Amazon Smile with APC listed as your charity if you are ordering single or small lots of books. This will significantly reduce our logistical burden and maximize our fundraising. We broke top 50 last week for sales on amazon in the education category of books. Keep it going folks!

We've had several guys in their 50s complete the Warfighter Challenge, but I share your sentiment.

Also...there is another category, technically, for support personnel. Working out a Task Book for them as well.

Also, can you guys keep the thread alive in General Discussion as well?

ETA - I meant "child" in a positive way, like in terms of the exuberance of youth, before ibuprofen, knee pain, and rest days

Trying to get one of the nieces to skip Philmont and come adventure in the mountains with me for a week, BIL is cool but my fat lib sister has a >40yo attitude as a knowitall

Old guy who competed both years but considered going to staff the second year, because it ain't an easy event and I'm not young.

I ran across TNC shortly after he returned from placing the land nav targets and realized my "staff would be easier on my old ass" assumption was incorrect.

That said, I'd recommend giving it a shot to anyone regardless of age. Worst case is you find your limit, best case is you find you still got something if you dig deep enough.

The GD discussion is archived.

A suggestion would be to have the big discussions in the beginning of your new posts. Otherwise they get to page 25/275 and are lost (like the non-NFA manufacturing oages).
