You asked about the rifle, it is a 20 in Obr Heavy with atlas pod, LaRue OBR rings, Bushnell HDMR elite with Tremor 2 and a Accuracy first level. Surefire comp and PRS stock, I purchased 2 boxes of Hornady 165 Grain and dialed it in for the new bullet last week. I built a table out to 1200 meters and shot that goat at the long range of 125 meters. It was so much overkill on set up I probably could have thrown my tomahawk and killed it just as easy. But nothing better then 1 shot just behind the shoulder, hit the heart and lungs and it just bounced and dropped. I am building my son and daughters a 6.5 for when they get a little bigger, figure they can start practicing now and will be more then ready when they are old enough. I haven't hunted in a few years and forgot how calming it is sitting behind your rifle watching the target and waiting for the shot.... it was amazing... now on to DEER! haha...

Just sitting here, it is a normal Monday, worked hard outside in the snow and loved every second... came home and worked on my bathroom remodel getting the sinks put in and a new bathroom door and hallway door. Washed the kids up made dinner and folded clothes “ my wife was not feeling good so she was resting” no lies here she runs a solid ship and keeps things rolling with our 4 little ones. Needless to say I tired to fill her shoes because she is a bad ass... just a side note... but everyone is asleep and I am just sipping some wild turkey and thinking how good life is with my BCM pistol on my lap...It’s funny some people chase money and glory with high status I.... just love days like today... kids full.. health and sleeping..a solid day of work and getting paid from a great job giving me the chance to be a man.... and me just sitting in our little house talking to my 4 parrots sipping a drink and feeling..... in peace... to the rest of my Wyoming brothers in arms... a solid sip to avoiding the 3 Gs that destroy men... girls, glory, and gold.... and a drink to the 4 Fs that we all fight for.. to the death... what we all be men for.... Faith, Family, Friends, and Fire power.... love you arfcom crew...

One thing I like about the last few weeks is my wife and I both have been saying to each other that our country needs a reset. That old saying “good times make weak men, weak men make hard times, hard times make strong men.. and repeat”It is so true. The last few month all I would see or hear is about socialism, LGBTQ whatever the F, Antifa, and so much other wasted time and nonsense. Well it has been radio silence since people have seen the shelves empty, their star bucks closed, and doom and gloom on the TV. Overall gents I think this is a horrible situation for the country but one of the best things that could happen. I think in the end we will get our moral compasses reset as a society and or American brothers will have some of their eyes opened. Hopefully everyone will realize how lucky we have it and how important it is we fight and come together as patriots and turn back to Gods graces..or we let the decay we allowed to consume us take us quietly into the night as we burn our home to the ground... I of course am not talking about my arfcom brothers we all are in this together and will fight for our family’s and country until our last man breaths his last.

For the next few months brothers keep your head down and powder dry... I was just taking a hike with my kids and reflecting and thought of you guys... Sparks556 out...

Love the picture Sparks!

The one very nice thing about this whole mess is my youngest getting to be home. He's working and doing his UW courses online.

Getting my wife out has been a challenge lately, but we did a little family outing Sat, and picked up all of the spent brass at our favorite shooting spot.
