Yeah that's fucking retarded

I guess the black line is supposed to signify what section has recently opened but that would've looked a lot better if they had done a highlight instead of a straight black line

The yellow bit is the completed highway.

A better, less confusing map:

So, is the map in this news report announcing the opening of I-269 screwed up?

(Scroll down to the map and then zoom way in.)

The map does not show the "completed" highway and the "to be built" part does not even reach I-55:

I’ve been running it since last Saturday. There are no signs on the Tennessee side that say that 269 is open, so I’ve had the road pretty much to myself.

It’s SOOOOO much better than going through Memphis, that’s for sure.

Ran it this weekend. From the exit off 78 to the Hernando Exit off 55 is 18 minutes or so.  Way shorter than down through Lewisburg, that's for sure.

And you don't have to dodge psycho FedEx trucks that haul ass up and down 305 anymore. The final stretch isn't as lumpy-dippy as the section close to the TN border, either. MSDOT did a lot of work filling in all those dips north of I-22 earlier in the summer.
