A steak so large it takes up half the plate.

No firearms.
No silverware.

No napkin.

5 of 10.

Looks good. I will be having something similar tomorrow.

I'm a chick who breaks all the rules.
I literally cut into it after the photo op.  I'll get three meals out of that.

I cooked a piece of mahi but didn't bother to photo it.

I plan on having a ribeye steak, bacon wrapped asparagus and roasted potatoes tomorrow.

But... I am kind of craving ribs. Might throw a rack on instead.

This was my first trip into the new Hernando Kroger Marketplace.  I rarely eat bone in ribeyes but that one was pretty good.
The loaded cauliflower was pretty tasty too.
Tomorrow I have to fix some broccoli and stuffed mushrooms.
You grilling that asparagus?

I love Kroger. My wife found a beef tenderloin on sale and had the meat dept cut it into 1.5" steaks. You can almost cut them with a fork when cooked to 135 degrees.

And yes ma'am on the asparagus. They will be seasoned with olive oil, kosher salt and coarse ground black pepper. Then wrapped in bacon and cooked until the bacon is done.

I give it 6.5 of 10.
+1 for yeti
+.5 No silverware, no problem. Meat is meant to be ate with hands
Pistol was prolly in hand, pic taken with weak side. No points if no proof
Needs more rifle and reload though. And AK in trash can

I actually did cut the bone off and then eat up against it like a corn cob.  The meat there was quite rare.

Was out late last night, so I cooked today instead.
Longhorn Steakhouse Napa Grilled Chicken (artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes, and mushrooms in a white wine herb sauce).
I brined the chicken.

So after tasting this, I find it worthy of having the recipe posted.
BRINE your chicken 30 minutes before cooking.  It made a huge difference!

As if your signature didn't confuse me enough now I have to wonder what a brine is and how to use it.

What is Brining?

My brine had 4 pounded chicken breasts, in a bag with a solution of 2 quarts COLD water with 1/3 cup salt and 1/4 cup splenda dissolved in it (of course you can use sugar).  Let brine for 30 minutes in the refrigerator prior to grilling.

TwistedSister you might want to try dry brining. I've had really good results with pork loin chops. I let them warm up to room temperature, salt them, and let them sit in the oven for an hour or so. They turn out tender after cooking and remain that way even after a night in the fridge. The meat is tender enough for my twenty year old cat to eat.

Wings, broccoli, and Paula Deen's green bean casserole.

Brining these wings makes a nice taste and juiciness difference.

No pictures... But, if someone offers you a grass fed, antibiotic free brisket, take it.

We traded dog sitting services, for some local grown, local butchered beef and one piece was a brisket point. Holy hell, this was the best brisket that I have ever had. My wife, beef hater, kept going back for more.

I barely have enough for lunch tomorrow.

I never turn down free meat.  That includes venison.
And gun season is about to start.

Last week I had French fries for the first time in months.  Potatoes and bread aren't on my diet.

For me it's not the food I eat. It's being hooked on Dr Peppers. 800 wortherless calories a day.

I had two Dr Peppers on vacation last week.  Nectar of the Gods...
I do find, however, that drinking them now after so many months of no carbonated beverages gives me the hiccups.

Kitty went to the thicket.  He should talk to his friend the raccoon who didn't fare near as well.
Last time I saw Rocky Raccoon, he was tits up on the back side of mom's seven acres.

Yeah.  It's not Saturday, but I cooked these tonight--they're Lowcarb friendly, and they're fantastic!

Crab cakes with Grouper...you honestly can't tell the two apart.  I broiled instead of frying to keep from messing up the floors since I just mopped.
