Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - How difficult to get an out of state ccw for AD Mil?

Stationed in RI and would like to carry again. NH just passed constitutional carry, so I'm a bit down I need to get a license here.

How difficult a process is this? Who can I get to sign? And, does my USCG pistol qual count for the proficiency testing?

What oddball carry restrictions are there?

In NH, before CC I just sent in a check and got a paper license back within a week.

Lastly, is there a good FFL near Johnston that doesn't suck and understands military can buy guns out of state?

Come down to my store/range in Exeter. It's not close but it's RI. It's not "that" far.

We'll sell to AD with orders.

For CC permits go through the town. Do you still have an up to date CCP? The towns are shall issue. $40s and will still require the proficiency testing. You need a 195 on an army L at 25 yards. 30 shots in 30 minutes.

Some towns require letters of reference, some just reference.
