Thinking of applying to a job there, any info or insight is appreciated.

Scarborough has some nice rural areas and also lots of high density and commercial.  Pretty much any sort of store you could be looking for is in Scarborough.  The town is also home to Scarborough Fish and Game, one of the better ranges in New England.  There are more broadly rural areas (like Buxton) very close by if you want to live outside of Scarborough to pay less for housing costs.  Traffic congestion at rush hour can sometimes be bad (by Maine standards, anyway).  The town is in a big fight over the school budget right now, as the schools are proposing a 7% budget increase this year.
