Hey, sorry for this way overdue reply to your message. I rarely check my messages on here because no one sends any to me. M1-Matt passed away from cancer. He told no one, not even his brother. It was a shock to all. I had worked with him for a few years while he lived in NJ. While I knew him, the only sign I had that there may have been something up with him health-wise was that he always had to go to the bathroom, number 2 but that could have been unrelated, I do not know. We hung out a number of times and went to a few Military Air Shows and things like that. As you know he had taken care of his Dad and Mom until they had passed away. I had attended both wakes and met some of his other family members and brother. After selling his parents' place he left NJ to move to PA by himself and his second Greyhound dog along with his gun collection which was very large. He had a lot neat stuff. The last time I had spoke to him was a month before he died on a video chat. He looked noticeably thinner and his hair seemed thin. He had told me that he was on a strict diet, even weighing the food he was eating and mentioned nothing about being sick. I miss being able to joke around with him on here and Facebook almost daily. Only having my pistol license I am not really a big gun guy but Matt turned me on to Arfcom and I have come to appreciate it very much, specifically GD. So I kind of carry on coming to Arfcom for Matt if that makes sense. In closing again I am sorry for replying to you so late but I wanted to let you know what had happened with Matt.
Take care.
Matt (My name too)

I thought guys would like to know how Matt thought more about others and their feelings than himself. I was given permission to post this IM, and I could only think you all would want to know the "Kid's" heart was much larger than life. It could have been easy for him to have fallen into self-pity or to seek pity, but like a Mans' Man he just sucked it up and soldiered on.
His friend Matt shared this youtube vid of M1-Matt doing what he just LOVED and LIVED to do.
Rest in peace, M1-Matt, Rest in peace...
