Anybody here got an M4gerie. Are they any good and what is the maximum barrel length for a carbine, Is it 16"?
Am thinking of going down that route for my next black rifle.

Anything shorter than the original standard length is classed as a carbine.

I have one as you know and it is OK as long as it's used within it's limits

And what are those limits Mark?

I suppose the reality is ETR targets and a max range of 400-500yds.
Of course you can get real accuracy from them but the longer barrelled rifles are better at the longer distances, because of the extra velocity

I've also got one, but am presently looking for scope options for the high top rail?  Something in the region of 6x (bad eyesight)?  Suggestions.........

That flag would be the same if it was the other way round

Its not a true replica of the union flag you see, it's symmetrical

Steve

Is that what mine looks like now, minus the can and 3.5"

ANdy

Your's is still in bits, waiting for the barrel platers to finish and then it's a case of proof (and a round handguard endcap - I'm short of one of these for some reason). BTW, yours is not quite 2.5" shorter than mine, just enough to keep it legal.

Actually, my M4gery is nothing like the picture now. It has a flat top and ACOG on top and a Yankee Hills 4-rail handguard.

But there is one on the 9 milly in the other thread, but you'll have to fight ACR26 for it

Matty , here's mine with a friends behind it.

With sierra 52g homeloads I could play join the dots @50/100m
And with NATO ball using Iron sights I could drop every target from 100-300m man attack targets at Brecon
I'm no sharpshooter but the rifle is probably more accurate than I am. (Thanks to Matt)

Here's mine.  Nothing special, just plain irons on the A3 carry handle.  Sling is CQB Solutions 3 point.  The rest is stock Bushmaster.  The original upper that came on the gun was an A2 14.5" M4 profile and it didn't group worth a shit with any ammo.  This one seems to shoot much better but it's also a 1-in-9 twist so it's not really going past 500 meters, and there's not many places in my area where you can push past 300 meters.

BTW, nice suppressor on the rifle in the above pictures.  What manufacture is it?  Are you happy with the performance?  I'm looking to get one here but cleaning has to be hell with the rifle's gas impingement system.  Great pics all the way around.

Oh yeah, that.  Well, this is kind of a gun porn thread so I figured posting without pics, especially a money shot, would be bad form

If you're ever cruising through the Atlanta, GA area in the States, you have an open invite to come play.  Granted, it's not as cool as the Prague or Belgium shooting trips I saw in the other thread but it could be fun.
