Zia allows flexibility. Shoot pistol and draw from a holster, cant do that at the city range...

Couple rifle ranges.

Zia is better. No question.

As good as Zia is, it doesn't even compare to the SJWF range.

i wouldnt say that SJWF is that much better. it has a kickass trap range and a few more misc. berms,  but other than that what makes it better?

we have a 100 yard tunnel range

eta: have not been to SJWF in about a year and half, so my info may be a little outdated

That is the only thing Zia has that is better.

Our trap/skeet range is far and away better (like I give a shit).

Better action pistol ranges with props and stationary cover etc.

Steel from 50 yards to 800 with 100 yard intervals.

Benchrest guys like the concrete tables and concrete slab.

Oh yeah... and it is 20 minutes from my house. That is why it is better.

At Zia, we recently installed steel from 550 to 750 yards.  They're the vaguely man-shaped silhouettes, made of AR 500, from Widener's.  So, neener neener.

Unfortunately, I don't own anything that has a prayer of hitting them.

not sure how that gets a neener neener neener, but ok.

At least we still have steel from 50 to 450. so us guys who can't shoot for shit can hear it ring.
