I am looking to go out west to shoot some prairie dogs around august with my groomsmen before I get married. I have never been before so I am not sure how to get started or where to go to find some colonies. Are they on public land or am I limited to finding someone who has them on private property? Any help or advice at this point would put me ahead of where I am now. Thanks!

Q Creek Ranch in Wyoming...  Lots of land, lots of close up exploding doggies.  Bring at least 1k rounds per person per day.

The last few years I have been out there it is non-stop action...
