Hey,


I have been checking to find a 50-ton jack for using as a barrel press.  I have looked locally with NO  LUCK!  So I figured I would turn to this board and see if any of you know where I can find one that is reasonably priced....the key word being reasonably.  Alaska Industrial Hardware has one for $274.00, but online Home Depot had the same jack for $116.00, but it will not ship to Alaska.

So I am still looking.

Well I found a solution.  My brother-in-law can pick up the jack at the Home Depot in the lower 48 and then ship it via flat-rate priority mail shipping (it only weights 68 pounds) for about $11.00.  WOOHOO..no wonder the post office is broke!

check out graingers down off c street they probably have several different qualities of them there

also check amazon.com they offer free shipping to alaska on alot of there stuff

Check out the heavy equipment places and big rig sellers.

Also might check out forklift suppliers.
