I went round and round last year buying the "perfect" seld gun for targets of oppertunity. Bought a contender. Then found a single shot 45/410 pistol so I bought that, then I found a M6 22/410, so I bought that. My usual carry gun now. Folds in half, and I can shot 22/410/45 Colt.

Well, I know a crazy dude named Jason Hinkle (moderator and famous has no shame guy over on subguns.com) in Kenai who has a lever action .50 Alaskan, which he then attaches a .50cal suppressor onto...

.50 Alaskan is some serious a$$kicking artillery!

Like the big tiny pistol, eh?  Throw that 45/410 derringer away and get the "Alaskan Survival" model - 45-70/.410! Then let me watch you fire it cause I don't want to myself.  I have shot quite a few .45-70 revolvers and they were pleasant in comparison to even .454 full house rounds (in the Casull, much nicer in the Taurus)

One thing is for sure, Alaskan's don't shoot each other with tiny little gangsta wussy pistols, we like BIG BORE.  I know quite a few women that carry .44 mags.  I like it when people belly up to the table and pull their pieces to see who has the biggest hand cannon.

Ya lost me with the " big tiny pistol" thing. Im talking about a guide gun bored out as the first part of your post talks about. I have carry guns and hunting guns, and no real reason guns. I was asking about blowing out a 45/70

Sorry, I assumed you were talking about the 45LC/.410 derringer that is so common.  What kind of pistol are you referring to?  Is it an old model?

BTW, I think the 45-70 is powerfull enough, it can be loaded to very high specs by itself (or you can buy ammo like Buffalo Bore)  WildWest Guns in Anchorage has there own 45-70 conversion that allows use of both, like the .450 Marlin, and yeah, there are the Alaskan series like .50 Alaskan - are you willing to load your own ammo?

OK, I see what you were talking about. It is a Commanchie with a 10 inch barrel. I would like to get a Derrenger for my CCW. I have a 380 Colt now....I wanted to do the 50 cal conversion just to be different. Yes, I do load.

Cool!  And so is the .50 Alaskan!  I say - go for it!  Different is always cool, and the .50 Alaskan is simply awesome.  It's also on my own wish list...

You wouldn't happen to have any specs on it would you? I read about it a couple of years ago but don't rember much about it.
