What is roped off/off limits?

Good news update.

My wife & I are fine.  Counting the travel time coming back to Michigan, we've largely been self isolated for two weeks.  Our last (somewhat) close contact with others was at the Ford dealership in Midland Texas on March 30.

My wife went, by herself, to Meijer on Thursday to add basics eggs, milk, fresh fruit & other consumables to the house. She came home rather stressed saying "this is getting stupid now".  She was referring to sections of the store being "off limits".

I am officially standing by to help if needed.

eta: My wife's dad has been over all but one day since we returned.

What is roped off/off limits?

Presumably the 4 sections specified in Executive Order 2020-42:
d. For stores of more than 50,000 square feet:

1. Limit the number of customers in the store at one time (excluding employees) to 4 people per 1,000 square feet of customer floor space. The amount of customer floor space must be calculated to exclude store areas that are closed under subprovision (2) of this subsection.

2. Close areas of the store—by cordoning them off, placing signs in aisles, posting prominent signs, removing goods from shelves, or other appropriate means—that are dedicated to the following classes of goods:

A. Carpet or flooring.

B. Furniture.

C. Garden centers and plant nurseries.

D. Paint.

Yep, and that covers a whole lot of turf.  I needed a new rake.  Nope.  I needed a tree pruner pole and saw to take up to the new home and property.  Nope.  Needed a few extra paint brushes and rollers.  Nope.

Yea, apparently some stores roped off aisles with baby stuff because they lumped it in with furniture. Some of those aisles included things like baby car seats and people started posting about it.

More retardation.  Babies are being born, growing etc in spite of the Democrats.  People need stuff for them.

I really, really hate this governor.

South Central MI.

Doing great, haven't left the house to do any shopping whatsoever.

Took a drive to exercise the car on Easter Sunday and drove around checking out stores, restaurants and gas stations/prices.

Lotta stuff closed due to Easter, but a lot of places were closed all week anyway.

Gas at Costco here is still $1.39, yet it's $1.09 at Costco downstate.

Reeallly eerie experience.

Happy to say I'm over 3 days fever free now.

My 71 year old father is on day 6 in the hospital and still breathing on his own.

Things are going as well as they can be.

Who all is going tomorrow to the protest?  I had planned to go but now I'm pretty sick.  Maybe the beer flu but I doubt it.  I've been pretty careful the last few weeks.  However, I'm not up to the drive down.

Good luck to those who are going.

Good luck to all that went to the protest.  I am "essential" and sitting at the store.  Wife and daughter were going to go and saw the supreme traffic backup and thought otherwise.  We are Mid- MI folks and hope everyone else is doing ok.

Checking in from Eastern Ottawa County, I am WFH most of the time, wife is not working but getting paid through the end of the school year at least.

Great to see the protest yesterday, couldn't get there myself but I doubt Whitless will change anything, in fact I think she will lengthen the stay at home.

Mostly good here, about all we need are prayers.

I remain worried to death about my wife.  She's in the last few months of emergency medicine residency here in Detroit.

She's also 5 months pregnant.

Just about all of the other pregnant staff people have been moved to other areas of the hospital.  Not my wife though. They've had a number of residents come down with symptoms and are in quarantine, so she's still there in the middle of it.

If you're the prayerful type, I'd appreciate some for her and my son.

Just wanted to chime in with a quick update.

I appreciate all the prayers, things have gotten better for my wife at work. She has proper PPE, and at least for this past week things have eased off with the number of covid patients that are coming in.

We are not out of the woods yet, but things at least for now, are better.

From Mason area. The factory I work at had been closed since mid March. We supply the big 3 and various other auto makers. Supposedly we got back to work on May 4th. We'll see. This lockdown has been hard on a lot of folks that I know. Lots of depression from family and friends. Even a suicide attempt (failed thank God). The lockdown has been worse than the illness around here from what I see.
