I am mounting a Burris FastFire red dot on an old TC Renegade muzzleloader.  A flat weaver or picatinny rail screwed to the barrel ahead of the rear sight.  Basically drilling and tapping two or three 6-48 screws onto a barrel flat.  Should be a piece of cake but I am without a drill press.  Can anyone recommend a local gunsmith?  Anyone but D&D in Troy.

ATEI can probably mill the optic into the action for you, lol. They are in Taylor and can do all sorts of stuff not listed on their site. They specialize in milling optics into things.

Might want to give Global military gunsmithing in Farmington Hills also.

Call Magnaport in Mt Clemens. See if they will do it. Plus they have a cool taxidermy room to check out while you wait. If you get there early, you can wait to have it done usually.
