Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Anyone deal with Burton PD for CLEO sign off's??

I want a suppressor and I need to get the CLEO to sign off on the form 4 (I think??) Has anyone ever dealt with Police Cheif Whitman for getting a signoff? Will he do it? Does he have restrictions? If he won't can I go somewhere else?  Any info is appreciated!!

If he wont do it, check with the Sheriff. The Sheriff was actually pretty easy to deal with once I let the City of Flint turn down my request to purchase my first gun. Just make sure to talk with the Sheriff and not the Undersheriff. The undersheriff didnt strike me as the type of guy who would be willing to sign off on anything. Be sure to let us know how you are making out.

Ok. That's good news.  Now, do I have to go to my local first, or can I just go to the Sherrif and skip over the local? I'll definitely keep you all updated.
