Independence Training will be in St. George on May 4-5 to teach our Wilderness First Aid class. Enroll HERE. •This course goes well beyond basic first-aid and into the world of trauma first aid, specifically those situations when a higher level of care is not immediately available. We will teach you about the world of ‘dirt medicine’ and how to keep yourself or someone else alive when time is not on your side. •This program is based on the real-world experiences of our instructors, which include wilderness first response, search and rescue, battlefield medicine, Fire/EMS, flight medical and emergency room concepts. •Day One will be in the classroom with hands on training, discussion and basic scenarios, and Day Two is held entirely in the field, concluding with multiple team scenarios with role players and realistic wound makeup and moulage.
