What snow?  Not enough snow here in I.F. to do much with.  This has been a weird winter...rain in Jan and Feb.  Very weird.

I'm in St. George, UT.

They are building a big shooting range down here by the new jail in Hurricane.  But the work is going very slowly.

Quoted:
as far as making a living here, it's not easy. you get paid half as much as someone from any other state doing the same job.  Not as much pressure though.

bummer, not what I wanted to read

I really want to move to ID,MT or WY !!!

It is true that most jobs here dont pay as much as in other parts of the country (although half as much is an exageration), however the cost of living when compared to many states is very low to compensate, as are most land prices. Jobs can be had, there are many jobs available, especialy around any of the up and coming cities (in Idaho at least).  Wait a minute.....what the hell am I saying the crapier people think it is here the lower the population is and the more freedoms I have to enjoy...never mind it sucks here!...really!

I'm in,  if you don't mind us Ogden types.

Ogden is the epitome of "Shitdom" in my opinion.  It's the ONLY place the Police hassle me MORE than L.A.!

P.S. I worked as a Private Investigator and Ogden police were WORSE than L.A. with working with me...

I am sure you are great though! :)

I unknowingly treated the wife of an Ogden Police Officer once.  Two weeks later, both I and my boss received a fantastic letter thanking me and my crew for our very professional care.  They're not all bad.

Jason4522...where abouts in SE Idaho do you live?  When I was stationed at Hill in '91-'92 I bought some land outside of Preston overlooking the Oneida Narrows section of the Bear River and the reservoir.  I hope to make it out there this summer/fall to camp & hike.  Owning your own 6,000 foot backstop kind of spoiled me compared to plinking/hunting here in Iowa.

I've got connections with the FARM training range outside of Cedar Fort, UT, about 45 mi sw of SLC.

We could do a shoot there.  They have a hot house, pneumatic movers, lots of steel and about 10 different ranges.

Thats where we have all of our IDPA and 3 gun matches.  Lemme know how many guys and gals would attend.

I'm in for that.

Depending on when it's arranged, I might be able to do a shoot like that.  There's no real organized shooting around here that I know of

Jason - I'm in Idaho Falls, I could pick you up on the way down!  Where do you go for shooting anyway?  All I have is BLM land over here, no ranges to speak of.
