Sounds like an all-round bad month/week/whatever for everyone.
Lets just hope that this is it for the year, that we have burned up our bad luck quotas and have nothing but plain sailing left
For the record my list looks like this:
* Before this week, I had managed a grand total of 120 billable hours so far this year.
* My mom died earlier this month .... 2 days before my birthday.
* Airfare to London for two of us: ~ $2,000 (down from ~ 5,000 thanks to United being understanding).
* AVIS gave me a broken car -- that worked out ok, they replaced it with an E class Mercedes.
* Hotel in England sucked -- toilet didn't flush for one thing --- seems to be a lot of that going around.
* Snowed for the funeral ... just added to the fun
* Get back on Friday night, find I have work in Detroit on Monday.
* Spending a week on work for Sun/GM -- uncertain if I will get to bill 40 hours.
* My dog is 14 -- he is sick --- I REALLY hope he recovers ....
* $600 bill from the vet for bording pets + updating shots etc. etc.
I will be glad when this month is over.
ETA: Oh, I forgot one - a revised 1099 from E-trade aiting for me when I got home, so I spent the weekend doing an amended tax return.
