Ken and I went out on a coyote hunt this weekend in Prinevill.  It was a great time, we saw 8 dogs and I got shots off at 2 of them, hit one. Christmas vally was thick with them.
Ken will post pics soon. I hit This one with my DPMS sweet 16 shooting Federal 55gr TNT tips at about 325 yards across a vally calling them in. The other one I missed was about 200 out and I overshot him.

Good times.

Irons,  just kidding. It was a Weaver V24  6to 24 power.  I think next time I am going with a lupy 3X9, there isnt really a need for the 24 power when the furtherest dog I saw was under 500.

Nope no range finder just ken eyes.  That guy could spot used bubble gum on the floor of a chicken coupe.
I sighted in 5" high at 100yards and figured it would drop back in between 325 and 350. I held dead on and 2" left for wind and it hit dead on center of the chest.
When I shot at the one at 200 I put it right on the nose and overshot him by a few inches, or he ducked at the last second.

It was about 15 miles west south west of christmas vally on I think it was called Flat Rock.
The dogs were thick around the town, we saw 3 just crusing around town killing time.
