I was just at the Clackamas Sportsman's to pick up a few things. They are having a 10% off sale through Sunday the 19th. I think it is on most things.

Just wanted to give people a heads up.

Someone cleaned the clackamas one out of 7.62 Wolf. IIRC it was $2.85 a box.. Same as .223

Yes. I bought some batteries, cleaning supplies and some .22 ammo. They took 10% off all of it. The sale also mentions firearms.

Do the (somewhat) cute redneck girls have an extra 10% off too?

There was an abundance of cuties there tonight. All seemed rather nice and friendly.

I stopped by the Salem store on my way home from our last shoot, and got a case of 7.62 for $119
Stupid prices keep going up.

Are you sure that that was the right price? IIRC you weren't at the time.

5% off guns and primer and powder...10% off a lot of other stuff...bought a new gun a couple days ago, and just bought a bunch of powder, bullets, etc...not super great prices, but better than normal

Yeah, sorry about that... It was actually $2.50 a box at the time and ended up getting the 10% off case discount... couldn't pass it up!  Especially since the prices don't look like they'll be coming down anytime soon... grrr...

Hot damn.

That answered my question for me.

I've been looking for a Rossi/LSI Puma M92 Stainless (so it matches my Smith 686) 20" Round Barrel in .357 Magnum/.38 Special for a couple months, and nobody has a new one.  None of the stores, none of the distributors, nobody.

Apparently, they've been backordered for a while now.

Since Rossi/LSI is the only manufacturer of a NEW stainless finish levergun in .357, my only other options are for a blue gun.

Sure enough, Sportsman's had a Marlin 1894C in .357 Magnum/.38 Special in stock, for $379.99.

5% discount makes it $361.00, which is damned near $100 cheaper than the Rossi/LSI was going to be, if I could even find one.

Even if it's not stainless, it's still a pretty damned nice rifle.  I'm liking it.

Dam! you had to remind me of my Browning B-92 I traded off when I was young. I loved that rifle. Much prefer the action of a 92 to a 94, especially for a pistol round. BTW it was also a .357mag.

I'm a levergun retard - is the Marlin 1894C based off of anything else?

My bad. I was thinking Winchester '94 and not Marlin. I don't think that the Marlin is based of the Winchester '94.
